Chandelier Films is a Gold Coast-based production company focused on producing high quality feature films and television series for the international market. The company was founded by award-winning actress, writer and producer, Dinka Džubur in 2011.
Dinka executively produced Little Hands, the post-war drama from acclaimed filmmaker Claire McCarthy (The Colour Room), co-written by Dinka and Claire and starring Dinka Džubur, Miraj Grbić and Manon Bennett. The film premiered at the Academy Award®-qualifying film festivals: Flickerfest (Australia) and Pula Film Festival (Croatia). Dinka won the International Award for ‘Best Actress in a leading role’ at the 2016 Sanctuary Cove International Film Festival for her portrayal of Mia in Little Hands.
Prior to establishing Chandelier Films, Dinka spent a year as an in-house producer at Whybin TBWA and BWM Advertising in Sydney producing high-budget commercials and honed her film producing skills at Brilliant Films.
Dinka holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting) degree from the Queensland University of Technology. Dinka is currently pursuing a Masters of International Law.
